Grace - Insights from Titus

In the midst of our busy, often chaotic lives, it's easy to lose sight of the quiet, steady power of God's grace. While reading through Titus the other day, I was reminded of how Paul's letter brings us right back to the heart of the gospel. God's grace isn't just about forgiveness; it's the active force that shapes our lives once salvation has appeared to us. Amid all the tension and noise surrounding us, we can so easily forget how this grace is meant to guide our daily walk. May these verses serve as a gentle reminder and a fresh encouragement to you today:

Titus 2:11-15

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

Titus 3:1-8

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

Heirs of Grace

These verses are a loving yet direct reminder to let God’s grace continue to reshape every part of your everyday life. Pause. Ponder them deeply. Let them search your heart and renew your mind until you feel the weight of conviction, what God is calling you to reject, what He is calling you to embrace, and how you are to model His grace to a watching world. If old habits have quietly returned, or if tension and frustration have begun to take hold in your heart, hear His kindness calling you now. Turn away from what pulls you down and choose righteousness and hope in their place and step forward with renewed zeal for good works.

So, lean into His grace today. Live it out faithfully in the small moments and relationships around you, and trust that it will bear lasting fruit in your own life to the glory to God.

God Bless You Today,

Carole
